Item — Box: 41, Folder: 43
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_41_43_0018
Attorney Houston Bus Hill wrote to Secretary Udall on behalf of the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache Tribes, requesting the removal of Area Director Will J. Pitner and the cancellation of a sale of tribal property in Anadarko, Oklahoma. The tribes believe that Pitner is interfering in tribal affairs and not respecting the democratic process. They are concerned that the sale of the property will alienate tribal members and harm their relationship with the Democratic party. They request immediate action to prevent the sale and remove Pitner from his position.
