Title: Ownership Dispute: Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church Land, 1962-01-01 - 1962-12-31

 Item — Box: 41, Folder: 43
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_41_43_0022
The Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Wilburton, Oklahoma purchased ten acres of land in 1947, but the title has been clouded by a partition suit in which Mr. Roy Crouch purchased the land. The Bureau of Indian Affairs cannot assist due to the land being unrestricted, so the pastor is advised to contact an attorney to protect ownership. Congressman Carl Albert is also involved in trying to obtain a quitclaim deed from Mr. Crouch to resolve the issue.
