Mr. Duel Autry wrote to Honorable Carl Albert, a House of Representatives member, about the old Indian cemetery near Spiro, Oklahoma. The Bureau of Indian Affairs confirmed that plans are in place to transfer the cemetery to the Oklahoma State Historical Society for restoration and maintenance. Carl Albert expressed his gratitude for this information and promised to look into the matter further.
