Mr. Brokeshoulder wrote to Congressman Carl Albert requesting that Indians who have had their restrictions removed be paid in full instead of per capita payments for the sale of Choctaw and Chickasaw coal lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded, stating that he is working to appropriate the necessary funds and understands the desire for full payment to avoid reliance on old age assistance. He assured Mr. Brokeshoulder that he will continue to work towards this goal.
