Mr. Green wrote to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about payment to members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes for the sale of coal lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded that the contract has been approved, but Congress still needs to appropriate the money for payments. He assured Mr. Green that he will do his best to get the money appropriated during the next regular session, but it may take some time before final payments can be made.
