Mrs. Lee Dailey inquired about the payment of claims of the Otoe Tribe, which were awarded $1,750,000.00 by the Indian Claims Commission. The funds were appropriated by Congress in 1964, and a bill was introduced in 1965 to dispose of the funds. The tribal governing body had not yet adopted a plan for the use of the funds. Congressman Carl Albert responded to Mrs. Dailey's inquiry, indicating that he had requested information and would advise her as soon as he received it.
