A series of correspondence between various individuals regarding the availability of federal assistance for the restoration and care of Indian cemeteries. The Bureau of Indian Affairs states that they do not have funds available for this purpose, and suggest that it is up to the owners of the properties to take care of the cemeteries. Congressman Carl Albert expresses interest in looking into the availability of federal assistance and acknowledges the importance of preserving these historic spots. John L. Boland, a lawyer from Caddo, Oklahoma, raises concerns about the lack of access to the Turnbull Cemetery and requests information on available assistance.
