Carl Albert, M.C. from the Third District of Oklahoma is requesting a hearing to address the funding issues facing the Indian Hospital at Talihina, Oklahoma. He argues that the current budget estimates are too low and that the hospital needs to operate with a patient load of at least 200. Albert presents evidence in the form of a telegram and letters from citizens of Talihina to support his case. He urges the Committee to recommend to Congress an appropriation of sufficient funds to meet the needs of the Indian tribes served by the hospital.
