The Talihina Choctaw Indian Council held a meeting in 1951 to discuss the delay in payments to heirs of deceased allottees. They passed a resolution requesting a correspondence section be set up to provide information on payments, that claims be paid immediately when an heirship application is filed, and that the process be followed for future payments. The resolution was sent to various officials and individuals for action.
