The text is a series of correspondence regarding the distribution of funds from the Leased District to the Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians. The Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation is requesting Congressman Carl Albert to expedite the payments as many Indians are in urgent need. The funds have already been appropriated by Congress, but the exact process of distribution has not been finalized. Congressman Albert is in contact with the Commissioner of Indian Affairs to address the delay in payments.
