Land Claims and Per Capita Payments: A Report from the Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma, 1966-05-07

 Item — Box: 123, Folder: 25
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_123_25_0021
The Business Committees of the three Sac and Fox Tribes met to discuss the division of judgments awarded in Docket 138 and Docket 143. Each group proposed different methods of division based on old rolls, current membership, or a compromise. The funds have been appropriated but are awaiting legislation for distribution. A $30 per capita payment has been requested for all members on the roll as of May 31, 1966, with payments expected in September or October. It is important for members to keep their addresses updated to receive payment.
