Manufacturers Extend Training for Indian Workers: Bureau of Indian Affairs Announces Renewed Contracts, 1965-08-16

The Bureau of Indian Affairs has renewed contracts with six manufacturers to provide on-the-job training for 236 American Indians in various industrial skills. The training is part of the Employment Assistance Program to help reservation Indians find jobs. The companies involved include Harry Winston, Inc., Mitchell Furniture Industries, Inc., Northern Cedarcraft Products, Inc., Sequoyah Mills, Inc., Systems Engineering Electronics, Inc., and Venride, Inc. The total contract amount is over $150,000.
