Mr. John L. Boland, a lawyer from Caddo, Oklahoma, wrote to Congressman Carl Albert on January 28, 1950, inquiring about a part-time medical director appointment at the Indian clinic in Atoka. He recommended a friend for the position and requested assistance in securing the appointment. Congressman Albert responded on January 30, 1950, advising Mr. Boland to contact the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency in Muskogee, Oklahoma, for more information on the position.
