The Chickasaw Housing Authority is working on an Indian Housing Project in Mill Creek, Thacker Ville, and Leon. The project was initially delayed due to a change from "Turnkey III" housing to mutual-help housing. Legal paperwork is currently being processed and the contractor will begin work in four months. The project is expected to be completed in the near future. Superintendent Ray Dodd expressed his concerns about the delay in a letter to Speaker Carl Albert, who assured him that efforts were being made to expedite the project.
