The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes in Oklahoma is requesting that the Bureau of Indian Affairs extend its services to urban Indians in the state to address the economic problems faced by those who have moved to cities seeking better opportunities. They are asking for adequate financing for these programs and have adopted a resolution to be forwarded to the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation, the Secretary of the Interior, and the Commissioner of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
