Dr. E. W. Foster Jr. wrote a letter to Page Belcher, a member of the House of Representatives, asking for support in increasing the appropriation for dental research and the construction of a dental research building. Page Belcher responded by stating that funds for dental research are currently included in other appropriations and that no funds for a separate dental research building had been requested. However, he assured Dr. Foster that he would remember the Society's stand on the matter when legislation appropriating funds for these programs comes up for consideration.
