Miss Marie L. Wadley, as the Executive Secretary of The Inter-Tribal Council, wrote a letter to Hon. Page Belcher, a Member of Congress, expressing the Council's support for certain legislation that was not acted upon during the 85th Congress. The legislation included amendments to Public Law 959 for adult education programs for Indians, establishing a program to address unemployment in economically depressed areas, and amending the Act of August 5, 1954. Belcher acknowledged the letter and expressed his willingness to assist whenever possible.
