Miss Thelma Eaglenest received a letter from Page Belcher, a Member of Congress, enclosing a copy of a letter from Mr. Orme Lewis, Jr., Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of the Interior, regarding the investigation of the administration of the Concho School. Belcher stated that in light of the response from Mr. Lewis, there is nothing more he can do regarding the problems at the school prior to the investigation. However, he mentioned that if there is cause for further investigation in the future, Eaglenest should feel free to let him know. Belcher also mentioned that he had requested a report from the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding Superintendent Aaron Dry and the petition Eaglenest had signed, and that he would provide further information once he received the report.
