Deadline for Filing Applications for Enrollment in Delaware Judgment Funds, 1967-10-18

 Item — Box: 91, Folder: 28
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_91_28_0002
Mrs. Maxine McCain had inquired about the deadline for filing applications for enrollment to share in the Delaware judgment funds. The Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington revoked instructions on February 5, 1971, regarding late-filed applications and appeals, imposing strict deadlines for new applications but processing existing applications without regard to deadlines. The Muskogee Area Office provided information on the status of the Delaware enrollment and the distribution of funds to eligible enrollees. The Area Office had been accepting late-filed applications and considering them based on specified criteria.
