Congressman Carl Albert received a letter from Robert Goombi, Secretary of the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache Tribes, enclosing a resolution regarding the sale of tribal lands to the City of Lawton, Oklahoma. The resolution expresses the tribes' desire to retain the land and have it held in trust by the U.S. Government. Congressman Albert assures that he will give the matter serious consideration and mentions his efforts to secure funding for Indian hospitals in his district.
