Osage Indians; Chilocco Indians
Scope and Contents: Several members of Congress, including Carl Albert and Julia Butler Hansen, are requesting a $500,000 appropriation for the Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma for the design phase of a rebuilding program. The Osage Tribal Council has also endorsed this program and is seeking support from the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation. Chief Tinker thanked Congress for their efforts in supporting the project.
