Mr. William J. Supernaw of Skiatook, Oklahoma, wrote to Congressman Page Belcher requesting information about the Quapaw Indian Tribe. Congressman Belcher contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs, who informed him that the rolls of the Quapaw Tribe have not been closed and the last accurate census was taken in 1940. The Bureau of Indian Affairs did not have the specific information requested by Mr. Supernaw, so Congressman Belcher forwarded the inquiry to them for further investigation. Congressman Belcher promised to provide Mr. Supernaw with any additional information he could obtain.
