Mr. Bert McElroy, an Attorney-At-Law, received a letter from Congressman Page Belcher regarding the retirement of Albert A. Exendine from the Indian Service. The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, explained that Mr. Exendine had already worked beyond the mandatory retirement age and had no special qualifications that would warrant his retention. Despite efforts to retain him for another year, it was ultimately determined that Mr. Exendine could not be kept in his position beyond the mandatory retirement age.
