 Item — Box: 12, Folder: 35a
Identifier: CAC_CC_004_2_12_35a_0013
Mr. Ernest Hunt wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs in Washington, questioning the decision to limit the number of delegates from the Iowa, Comanche, and Apache tribes attending a hearing before the Indian Claims Commission. Congressman Page Belcher responded, explaining that only three delegates were authorized to attend as observers, as the hearings were merely to conclude the matter and not for testimony. Hunt was encouraged to contact Belcher for further assistance.
