Mr. Raymond C. Gawhega, Sr. of Perry, Oklahoma, wrote a letter to Congressman Page Belcher seeking help with a requirement imposed by the local Indian office to terrace his allotment. The issue was resolved with an agreement between the lessee and the Government representative. The Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs confirmed that the problem was settled satisfactorily and there were no threats of patent issuance or withdrawal of privileges. The letter exchange between Mr. Gawhega, the Indian Affairs office, and Congressman Belcher led to the resolution of the issue.
