The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes is expressing their support for the appointment of Mr. Thomas J. Ellison as Area Director of the Muskogee Area Office. They have sent a letter to the Secretary of the Interior and the Commissioner of Indian Affairs urging them to appoint Ellison within 30 days. The Council believes Ellison is the most qualified candidate for the position and has the endorsement of the five principal chiefs of the tribes.
