Item — Box: 170, Folder: 13
Identifier: CAC_CC_017_3_170_13_0018
Glenn English, a member of the House of Representatives, wrote to George Kerferd at the Oklahoma State Department of Labor regarding increased OSHA activity in Oklahoma. The response from the Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health clarified misconceptions about staffing levels and funding for OSHA in Oklahoma. The letter explained that funding for the onsite consultation program had decreased in FY '79, but there was no impact on the level of services provided. The letter also addressed concerns about a backlog of consultation requests and emphasized the importance of consultation in reducing occupational hazards.
