Congressman Glenn English wrote to Haskell Cudd about OSHA's proposed revision of the General Industry Electrical Standards. The response from Eula Bingham, Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health, stated that the proposed revision aimed to simplify standards and make them more performance-oriented, with minimal financial impact on existing facilities. A study by the American Feed Manufacturers Association overestimated the cost impact of the proposal. Public comments on the proposal were mostly favorable, and a public hearing was held to address industry concerns. The final rule would consider all comments received.
