Goldie L. Bean, a senior interviewer at the Oklahoma State Employment Service, wrote a letter to the U.S. Department of Labor protesting proposed changes to fringe benefits for employees. She expressed concerns about losing disability insurance and the impact it would have on her family, as she is the sole wage earner. The letter urged the Department to withdraw the proposal and maintain the current benefits. The letter also informed employees about the proposed changes and urged them to submit comments against it by January 19, 1981.
