Dale Regier, the owner of Dale's Janitorial Service, wrote to Congressman Glenn English seeking clarification on the impact of the new minimum wage bill (P.L. 95-151) on his business. In response, Regional Administrator Bill Belt explained that employees of janitorial services must be paid the current minimum wage and provided information on future increases. He also clarified that exemptions in the Internal Revenue Code do not apply to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
