 Item — Box: 170, Folder: 23
Identifier: CAC_CC_017_3_170_23_0010
Joe Funkhouser contacted Glenn English, a member of the House of Representatives, regarding reporting misinterpretations of CETA programs and equalizing price structures between discount stores and nurseries. Glenn English forwarded Funkhouser's questions to the Department of Labor for investigation. The Department of Labor contacted the Oklahoma Balance of State Manpower Director to assist Funkhouser with his problem. Funkhouser was informed that regulating prices in privately run stores is not within the federal government's jurisdiction. Funkhouser was also guaranteed replacement of plants by Hobart Nursery Inc. under certain conditions.
