Congressman Glenn English is seeking local opinion on potential changes to the identification of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Office of Management and Budget is conducting a review of definitions of metropolitan areas based on 1990 standards and census data. Congressman English is asking for input from local officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders on whether the title of the area should include the names of other qualifying cities. The final decision will be based on local opinion and the standards set by OMB.
