Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Doc Pewewardy recommending the appointment of Mr. Bobby Cannon as Superintendent of the Fort Sill School. Senator Harris forwarded the recommendation to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, who informed him that no final decision had been made regarding the appointment. They encouraged Mr. Cannon to apply for the position through the Muskogee Area Personnel Office. Doc Pewewardy emphasized the importance of utilizing local talent and youth leadership in community programs.
