The document is a letter from Governor Val Peterson to Congressman George B. Schwabe enclosing resolutions adopted at a flood control meeting held by the Missouri River States Committee. The resolutions call for federal appropriations to complete the Pick-Sloan plan of flood control in order to prevent a recurrence of the flood catastrophes experienced in 1951.
