Mr. Atchman Arkansas wrote to Congressman Carl Albert regarding financial assistance given to Mrs. Lucy Tubbee Peters for relocation from Durant, Oklahoma to Denver, Colorado. The Bureau of Indian Affairs provided information stating that Mrs. Peters and her family voluntarily agreed to pay their own expenses and were issued Treasury checks totaling $175. The Farve family, who relocated successfully, are now financially and socially stable in Denver. The letter emphasizes the importance of counseling and support provided by relocation services in successful relocation. Atchman Arkansas had concerns about the handling of financial assistance, and requested clarification on the process. Congressman Albert's office is looking into the matter and will provide updates.
