Indian Affairs: Removal of Land Restrictions, 1959-01-05

 Item — Box: 33, Folder: 29
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_33_29_0003
Mr. Roy L. Bohannan, a Choctaw M-142, wants the restrictions removed from his land so he can borrow money against it. The Muskogee Area Office is hesitant to approve the removal as they fear he may lose his property if he is unable to repay the mortgage. They have asked him to discuss his problem further with their Field staff before making a decision. Congressman Carl Albert has been informed of the situation.
