The letter is from A. L. Warren, Secretary to Congressman George B. Schwabe, responding to a letter from Mr. H. P. Knecht regarding Regulation W issued by the Federal Reserve Board. The letter states that controls on single payment loans have been eliminated and only about 12 articles are still regulated. A copy of the new revision and list of regulated articles will be sent to Mr. Knecht once received. Congressman Schwabe will be informed about the matter upon his return to Washington and will take necessary action. Mr. Knecht expresses concerns about the impact of Regulation W on consumers and suggests abolishing it.
