Mrs. Elizabeth Whitehead congratulated George B. Schwabe on his election to Congress and expressed concern about the cancellation of sugar stamps by the O.P.A. Schwabe responded by expressing sympathy for those affected by the decision and stating that he believed it was arbitrary and unnecessary. He assured Whitehead that he would consider her concerns and any other issues she brought to his attention.
