The Retailers Committee of the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce has approved five proposals to be sent to Congress regarding price control under the OPA. The proposals include interpreting the phrase "generally fair and equitable" more strictly, allowing judicial discretion in cases of price regulation violations, giving citizens the right to contest OPA regulations in Federal Court, giving the Price Administrator control over commercial rents, and extending the Price Control Act for one year only. These proposals aim to ensure fair application of price ceilings and prevent unnecessary restrictions hindering post-war economic recovery.
