George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, received a telegram from H. E. Wilkins expressing concerns about ceiling prices on dwellings and the detrimental effects on the economy. Schwabe agrees, criticizing New Deal policies and the Office of Price Administration (OPA). He believes that President Truman's plan to shift functions of bureaus to government departments will not solve the problem. Schwabe is committed to fighting against government intervention in private enterprise and supports Wilkins' views.
