The letter is from Mr. W.P. Thomson to Congressman George B. Schwabe regarding the possible acquisition of 2.9 acres of land on Drowning Creek. Thomson is handling the matter satisfactorily and is willing to acquire the property in either his name or Schwabe's. Schwabe discusses the poor condition of U.S. Highway 60 and his efforts to address it with the Oklahoma delegation. He thanks Thomson for his hospitality during his visit in August and mentions plans to meet with Mr. Milbourne and County Clerk Brewster regarding the land acquisition. Schwabe also mentions discussions with Governor Kerr about the neglect of the road and the concerns of the people in the area.
