The memorandum outlines the claims of the Pawnee tribe, including a shortage in the area of their reservation and various land payment disputes. The Commissioner recommends amending the bill to authorize an appropriation of $6,079.50 to settle the outstanding claims of the Pawnee Tribe, rather than referring the claims to the Court of Claims. It is suggested that the bill be amended to title it as a relief bill for the Pawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma.
