The Hominy Ministerial Alliance sent a letter to Congressman Schwabe urging him to support an anti-strike measure in order to prevent an economic crisis and potential civil unrest. They expressed their concern for the well-being of American employers and employees and requested his attention to the issue upon his return to Washington. Congressman Schwabe had previously sent out questionnaires to gather views from his constituents on the matter.
