The Osage Tribal Council passed Resolution No. 18-30 opposing the placement of the Osage Agency under the jurisdiction of the Muskogee or Anadarko Area Offices and recommended that it be designated as an independent area office. They cited the unique laws and regulations governing the Osage Tribe's affairs, as well as the importance of direct communication with the Bureau of Indian Affairs for their mineral resources.
