The Bartlett-Farmer Clothing Co. in Collinsville, Oklahoma had previously been informed that their community auction sale was in violation of O.P.A. regulations, but later learned that the sale was allowed to continue, with only fat hogs being excluded. They expressed their support for price control and requested Congressman Schwabe's assistance in working with the O.P.A. to ensure fair practices. Schwabe's office acknowledged the letter and indicated that he would address the issue upon his return to Washington.
