The first letter is from George B. Schwabe, a congressman, responding to a letter from Mr. F. E. Mertz regarding the O.P.A. Schwabe conducted a referendum in his district which showed that the majority of people were against the continuation of the O.P.A. He values the input of the American people on controversial issues. The second letter is a plea to Schwabe to keep the O.P.A. going to prevent inflation, signed by multiple employees and citizens of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
