Urging Support for O.P.A. Resurrection: A Letter from Concerned Citizens to Congressman George B. Schwabe, 1946-07-23

Item — Box: 6, Folder: Unknown
Identifier: CAC_CC_047_1_6_32_0015
Mr. George B. Schwabe received a letter from Mr. Charles Rose and Miss Frances Rose urging him to support a bill to resurrect O.P.A. from the dead. Mr. Schwabe voted against the bill as he believed it to be the most vicious price control bill ever presented to Congress. He felt it would un-stabilize business and create more bureaucracy. The Roses believed President Truman's veto of the O.P.A. extension was commendable.
