The author, George B. Schwabe, is responding to a constituent, Hunter Miracle, regarding the issue of price control. Schwabe states that the majority of constituents are opposed to the revival of price controls, particularly rent controls. He believes that bureaucratic control, such as the O.P.A., is difficult to eliminate once established.
