The letter is in response to a request to vote for the revival of the Office of Price Administration (OPA). The writer, George B. Schwabe, explains that prices are not higher everywhere and that the OPA was poorly administered and unfair. He mentions that President Truman vetoed an OPA extension bill, causing confusion. Schwabe indicates that most constituents are in favor of doing away with the OPA altogether.
