Mr. Schwabe received a letter from Mr. Tyler opposing the Fair Employment Practice Act (H.R. 2232) and expressing hope that Schwabe would use his influence to defeat the bill. Schwabe responded that he has declined to sign a petition in support of the bill and does not intend to support it in its present form. He wishes other Democratic members of Congress would see things the same way.
